What is Elston Electric?
Elston Electric is a friendly tavern/arcade located on the corner of The Salt Shed complex. The bar is incorporated into the old boiler and has an inviting patio to enjoy some sunshine between game time. We serve great food and nostalgic drinks at hard-to-beat prices, inspired by all things games and boilers. Our family-friendly arcade features a high-scoring mix of old and new games, and redemption games to win a prize for that special someone. So bring the kids or leave them at home, we promise that a boilermaker and a game of pinball is a really nice time.
Is Elston Electric family friendly?
Absolutely! Children are welcome and encouraged to party with us until 10pm. After 10pm, Elston Electric is 21+.
Can I visit Elston Electric during Salt Shed concerts even if I don’t have a ticket?
Yes! Elston Electric remains open to the public during Salt Shed concerts. While concertgoers can access us from inside the venue, anyone can stop by through our street-side entrance at the corner of Elston and Blackhawk—no ticket required.
What games are available?
We have a wide variety of modern and classic games, including vintage and modern pinball, video games, air hockey, VR experiences, skill cranes, and more. With over 100 machines on the floor, Elston Electric has something for everyone. Check out our current list here.
How do you play the games?
No tokens or quarters needed here! Elston Electric uses a state-of-the-art RFID Game Card system to store credits and accumulate tickets for prizes. Patrons will purchase and load a Game Card at one of our self-service kiosks in the arcade or in the Prize Shop. To play, simply tap your card to a game’s card reader to begin play. Many of our games reward your skills with virtual prize tickets, which accumulate on your game card. When you’re ready, visit our Prize Shop to redeem your tickets for toys, candy, gadgets, and more!
Game Cards can be re-loaded with more credits at any of our kiosks or in the Prize Shop.
Will there be food and drink?
Elston Electric boasts a full bar with playful cocktails both full spirit & spirit-free, draft beer, and the jiggliest jello shots. Our kitchen serves up crowd-pleasing favorites, including pizza from Pizza Friendly Pizza, taquitos, hot dogs, and more—always with vegan and vegetarian options available.
Are you cashless?
Elston Electric’s bar and restaurant are cashless. The Prize Shop will accept cash for Game Card purchases, however.
Is parking available?

What’s included in a party package?
Our standard package includes reserved party space for up to 40 guests, arcade game cards for each guest, pizza and soft drinks, and a party host to help coordinate your event. Add-ons like extra food, dessert, or game card upgrades are available!
How long is each party?
Parties are typically 2 hours. Need more time? Just ask—we're happy to discuss options.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of guests?
Our party packages are built for groups of 10 or more. We can accommodate up to 40.
Can I bring my own cake or dessert?
Yes! You’re welcome to bring in your own cake or dessert. We’ll provide a table and knife, but we do not provide refrigeration or food prep/storage space.
Can I bring outside food or drinks?
Outside food and beverages (besides a cake/dessert) are not allowed. We offer a full menu of food and drink options, including vegetarian and kid-friendly items.
Do you offer decorations or can I bring my own?
We provide tablecloths, disposable plates, etc., but feel free to bring your own decorations. Just no confetti, glitter, or anything that needs to be taped to walls. Everything must go with you after the event has concluded.
How early can we arrive to set up?
You're welcome to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled party time. If you need more time for setup, please let us know in advance.
Is the arcade open to the public during our party?
Yes, the arcade remains open during birthday parties unless you've booked a full buyout.
How do I book a party?
Just fill out our party request form on the website. A member of our events team will follow up to confirm availability and help finalize details.
What’s your cancellation policy?
We require a written notice for cancellations. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to a new date with proper notice. Cancellation within 24 hours of your event will be irrevocable, non-refundable, and non-creditable. Please note, arrivals later than 30 minutes from your confirmed time slot will result in the forfeiture of the reservation, booking fees, and deposits.
